Before compressing the files and folders, you can easily estimate the size of compressed files and folders using WinRAR.

For estimate a file size after compression

step 1

⇒  open WinRAR and choose selected files to be compressed.

⇒  click on "info".

⇒ click on "estimate".

⇒There will be a pop-up window that displays the percentage of files to be compressed along with the duration for the compression process.

Now, It's time for settings that will help you to do the best compression in winrar. I'm going to share with you the best settings that I use to compress my files and folders.

steps:-

⇒Right-click on files/folder and select Add to Archive

⇒ Archive Format: RAR

⇒ Compression Method: Best

⇒ Dictionary size: Select the biggest one

⇒ Check the “Create solid archive” box

⇒ Click the Advanced tab and then the Compression button. Set 

      “Text compression” to “Auto”.

By using the above settings, you can reduce the size of your files and folders up to 10%.
